Visualising Query Results

DoordaOnline offers two primary methods for creating queries:

1. Query Builder: A graphical interface that allows you to construct queries without writing SQL.

2. Native Query Editor: For users comfortable with SQL, this editor enables the creation of complex queries.

Visualising Questions in the Query Builder

When you build a question using the Query Builder:

1. Create Your Query: Select your data source and define the parameters of your query.

2. Visualise the Results: Click on the "Visualise" button located under the last step of the Query Builder. DoordaOnline will automatically choose a chart type that best fits your data.

3. Switch Between Views: You can toggle between the visualisation and the table of results using the "Visualisation/Editor" button in the top right corner.

Visualising Native Queries

For queries written in SQL using the Native Query Editor:

1. Write Your SQL Query: Input your SQL code to retrieve the desired data.

2. Select a Visualisation Type: Click on the "Visualisation" button at the bottom of the screen and choose the chart type that best represents your data.
